January Sale

The exhibition, January Sale, opens at the Angles Theatre in Wisbech on 6th January and brings together the work of around 20 artists, many of whom are local to the area and some from as far afield as Israel! January Sale has been curated by Atelier East to raise money towards restoration and refurbishments that are much needed for the 200-year-old auditorium at the Angles Theatre. The Georgian theatre was built in 1793 and is one of the countries oldest professional theatres.
All of the artists involved in the exhibition are very kindly donating half of their sale price to the Angles Theatre, and on top of that many of the artists have reduced the price of their work especially to fit in with the theme of January Sale and to provide viewers with the extra special offer of something unique and affordable!
Karen Harvey from Atelier East said “This is going to be a really exciting exhibition, I have seen the work and there is a great mixture of styles and subjects from some really talented, and generous, artists… and the prices are pretty impressive too!”
The artists taking part in January Sale are; Natasha Allen, Sarah Bird, Mike Bliss, William Bradley, Bethe Bronson, Jennie Clare, Veronica Dawson, Pete F Davies, Sue De-La-Mere, Margaret Frusher, Karen Harvey, Sally Jakings, Greg Kyne, Rocky Lock, Neville Palmer, Vijay Patel, Jenny Reading, John Simpson, Louise Stebbing and Gali Timen.
The exhibition continues at the Angles Theatre until February 1st, but art lovers are being encouraged the view the exhibition as soon as they can- before all the bargains get snapped up in this unusual twist on the January Sale.
There will be a special opening reception for January Sale at the Angles Theatre on Sunday 6th January between 6-8pm, everyone is welcome.
