Bethe Bronson - Reflect

Opening on January 4th is a new and inspiring exhibition entitled Reflect, by mixed media artist Bethe Bronson, at the Angles Theatre Wisbech.

Originally from Washington, D.C., Bethe Bronson earned her M.F.A. from The Maryland Institute College of Art, a B.F.A. from the Corcoran School of Art, and a B.A. in Art Education from the University of Maryland.  Bronson moved from the U.S. to London in 1998, Cambridge 2003, and the Fens in Autumn 2005.   U.K. Exhibitions include The Royal College of Art, The Photographer’s Gallery, Orleans House; Richmond, Zwemmers; White Chapel Gallery, Metro; Soho, The Cambridge Darkroom Gallery and Kettle’s Yard.

Bethe Bronson attempts to pose questions with her art.  The images, often mixed media, usually photography based, are frequently ambiguous, sometimes surreal, rarely straightforward.  This most recent exhibition, ‘Reflect,’ refers to the work’s reflective qualities both visually as well as representatively.

4th -31st January 2009 at the Angles Theatre, Wisbech.
Opening reception: 6-8pm on Sunday 4th January 2009.
