Creative Club - Home
Sixteen Young Artists from Wisbech St Mary Primary School worked on a project called ‘Home’. The theme was chosen by Young Artist Clodagh who thought it would be interesting for everyone. The group worked on their ideas in their sketch books and then created their own artworks. Some of the young artists worked with clay while others made paintings, created textile pieces and made models from recycled materials.
The Young Artists held an exhibition at the school and invited parents and friends to come and see what they had created. The artwork received lots of very positive comments from everyone who saw it.
Here’s some of the wonderful (and weird!) feedback we got from the Young Artists…
‘Home means to me I’ve got a place to live. My drawings took me a very long time. Art club is great, if you came you would love it.’ - Luke
‘I made a cushion, it took me a very long time to make because I was sewing it. I think art club is great, it is challenging. I liked it when we got the biscuits!’ - Niamh
‘I made a bed from clay. I made a picture of a house. I made the bed because it was the easy thing that came into my mind. I did the painting because I thought it was a good idea. The bed was so you have a comfortable life. The house was about that your life is the best ever. I went to art club because it sounded and looked good.’ - Imogen
‘I like painting baby toys because I like them and I have one. I like painting a patterned house because they look pretty and beautiful. It feels very interesting and good to do, it is very good.’ - Holly
‘I made a child in a bed and it had some spots on the duvet and it was made of clay. I drawed about a house and on the first day I did things with clay and it was good and I got to take some of the clay home but I didn’t get time to make anything I was going to make a ring or a necklace or a bracelet.’ - Bethany
