Get your face painted… for Watoto!
What is Watoto? We hear you ask! That’s exactly what we said, until Jack Groat from the King’s Church, Wisbech told us more!
Watoto, is a project which enables orphaned children in Uganda to live as a family, with a ‘mum’ and to be educated, clothed, fed, and treated with love and care. At present, Watoto has three children’s villages; two in Kampala called Bbira and Suubi and a third one in Gulu, Northern Uganda - an answer to the child soldier crisis in this region. You can find out much more about Watoto here… www.watoto.com
The King’s Church in Wisbech have already raised enough money to build a house for a family in Uganda, and we decided we would like to help too!
On Saturday 4th April we face-painted at the Nearly New Sale organised by the Flamingo Children’s Centre, at St Peter’s Hall in Wisbech and raised £57.20.
We’d like to help raise more money for Watoto and we are already booked for a couple of events. We welcome you to make a donation and invite us to face-paint at your event too!
Fancy getting your face painted? Of course you do! Get in touch!
