Snapshot 2009 - Call for Photographs
Are you a keen photographer? A new exhibition launched as part of the Wisbech Photography Festival offers you the opportunity to have your work seen by the public and form part of a historic collection to be held at Octavia Hill’s Birthplace House.
The ‘Snapshot 2009’ exhibition is your chance to show people what life is like for you in Wisbech and the surrounding areas. Family life, rural life, architectural detail, shopping, landscapes, where you live, work, play or go to school… whatever you think makes a great picture.
All work that is chosen will be prominently displayed from 23rd May to 16th June in the window of the new Kodak One Stop Photo Shop at the Horsefair in Wisbech, where it will be seen by hundreds of people daily.
The winning picture will be chosen by the team at Kodak One Stop Shop, and the winner will receive their photograph enlarged to A4 and professionally framed, plus a one year membership of Total Image Nation, the online showcase and network for photographers, and the chance to exhibit at Atelier East’s annual Summer Exhibition.
To submit your pictures email them to photos@atelier-east.co.uk or you can drop prints into the Wisbech Tourist Information Centre or the Kodak One Stop Photo Shop opposite Somerfield in the Horsefair, Wisbech. Pictures must be printed to 6×4 inches and unframed. The deadline for submitting your picture is 20th May at 12pm. Final selection will be made by Atelier East.
Please include your name, address, telephone number and title of the picture on the back or if you are emailing it to us include all of this information in the email. If you are under 18 years old your parent/guardian will need the permission of your parent/guardian to exhibit your work. The Pictures are not returnable.
The Wisbech Photographic Festival is organised by Atelier East and Octavia Hill’s Birthplace House and funded by Roddens. The Festival is supported by Fenland District Council, Wisbech Tourism Development Group, WisARD and Total Image Nation.
