Call For Artists for the Summer Exhibition

We’ve been really looking forward to it, and we don’t have to wait any longer- its time for artists to submit work for the Atelier East Summer Exhibition… hooray! Last year we had a wonderful exhibition and a great opening event, we hope we can make this year just as good… or even better!

The Summer Exhibition runs from July 1^st to July 31^st 2009 at the Angles Theatre, Wisbech.

There will be a prize of Best in Show selected by a public vote and the winning artist will receive a beautiful trophy and the opportunity have their work showcased in a solo exhibition at the Angles Theatre. There will also be a prize for the Best Photograph of a years membership to the photographers collective, Total Image Nation.

A special opening reception will be held on Sunday 5th July, for all the artists and their friends and families, with live music, poetry readings, a fantastic raffle and a buffet for everyone to enjoy. Those who attended last years opening reception will know this is and event not to be missed!

This year there is the added bonus of the Horsefair Art Trail.  Around 20 of the submitted artworks will be selected to be reproduced and displayed in the Horsefair Shopping Centre for the duration of the Rose Fair celebrations for everyone to see.

The deadline for submissions is 17^th June.
