Can you help us with our rubbish shopping list?
We are on the hunt for your old rubbish! Yep! We think rubbish is great! You might already know that we do lots of workshops and activities with young people that involve using recycled materials and we have a bit of a shopping list of random rubbish at the moment!
If you have anything that you don’t need anymore and think it might be of use to us for one of our many projects please get in touch… we can even collect!
We are after…
Paint - household paint, any colours or quantities (for painting murals)
Old paint brushes, rollers, paint trays
Fabric - any type or size
Magazines - any old magazines for cutting up/collage/inspiration!
Empty jars - jam, coffee, glass, plastic, any size or shape
Bottle tops - plastic, metal, pretty looking ones!
Plastic bags - colourful ones, ones with interesting words or pictures
Ring pulls from drinks cans
Used postage stamps
Cardboard tubes - clingfilm/foil/kitchen/toilet tissue rolls, Pringles tubs, mail tubes
Paper - wallpaper, wrapping paper, coloured paper, tissue paper
Cellophane - any colour/pattern
Boxes - shoe boxes, gift boxes, boxes that look like they might be good for something!
Plastic containers- yoghurt pots, margarine tubs, round tubs
Balloons
Metal coat hangers
Cutlery and old spoons - wooden, metal, plastic
Paper plates and drinking straws
Nuts, bolts, screws
Buttons, cotton, findings, wool, ribbon, beads, elastic, string, elastic bands, corks
And anything else interesting or inspiring that you think could be re-used, re-worked and recycled!
