Horsefair Art Trail 1-4 July 2009
Wisbech’s primary shopping destination will be showcasing artwork as part of the town’s Rose Fair celebrations. The Horsefair will display a trail of 20 selected pieces from local artists in store windows throughout the centre, as an additional attraction for visitors during the town’s Rose Fair celebrations.
As visitors make their way through the centre to view the artwork, they will discover some fun things (yep!) about each artist. The display is a snapshot of Atelier East’s fourth annual Summer Exhibition at the Angles Theatre.
Speaking about the upcoming event, Horsefair manager, Kevin Smith said: “I am very pleased that the centre will be displaying the artwork for shoppers to enjoy during the Rose Fair celebrations.”
The Horsefair will display the artwork from Wednesday 1st July – Saturday 4th July, on the final day, children visiting the centre will be able to enjoy a free fairground ride from 10am – 2pm.
In addition, the centre’s Paperbox store (formally Card Warehouse) will be offering tasty strawberry teas from 11am – 3pm from Wednesday – Friday, all funds raised will be donated to the Wisbech Childrens Charities.
Exhibition runs from 1-4 July 2009 throughout the Horsefair Shopping Centre.
