Creative Club - In the Sky
Young Artists from Westwood Junior School and Wisbech St Mary Primary School have been working in after-school sessions on a project called ‘In the Sky’. This project encouraged the children to look up and think not only of what they could see in the sky but also what is beyond. The children used mostly recycled materials and lots of different art media.
The Young Artists have created lots of lovely artwork including landscape collages, a man in the moon, birds, a futuristic ‘Aliens Got Talent’ stage and a brilliant flaming comet!
Here’s some feedback from our Young Artists:
‘It is brilliant that everyone made art out of the sky and that it was my idea!’ - Bethany
‘We made Mars, we added little crinkly bits on and in Mars we added sponge.’ - Cameron
‘This topic was challenging as there was lots of ideas to choose from.’ - Callum
‘I made a picture of the stars and sun, a picture of a rainy sky, a squiggle wiggle and a rainbow.’ - Shayla
‘Its really exciting we can look at the sky at playtime and think of ideas. Sometimes I like to help people!’ - Imogen
