Out Of Our Heads - Phoenix Writers Group
A new exhibition opens at the Angles Theatre in Wisbech on 6th September. ‘Out of our Heads’ is an exhibition of painting and poetry from the Phoenix Writers Group in association with MIND and the Richmond Fellowship.
The exhibition is an eclectic mix of artwork accompanied by poems that range from the deep and moving to the heart-warming. The paintings are from two groups, one based in March and one in Wisbech, the work ranges in style from bright abstracts to fine watercolours and is well worth seeing.
The aim of both the creative writing and art groups is to give its members an increased sense of self esteem and self worth. All the members are either recovering from or currently have mental health issues and find the support and encouragement from these groups invaluable.
‘Out of our Heads’ will be running at the Angles Theatre from 6th to 31st September.
