YPM get Trashy in the name of Fashion!
What do you get when you make trash into fashion? Trashion of course! Budding ‘Trashionistas’ at Young People March created a stunning collection of catwalk inspired outfits from recycled materials and then staged their own amazing fashion show and an improvised performance of Cinderella. The lucky Cinderella wore a stunning ballgown created entirely out of supermarket carrier bags…no Fairy Godmother required! A weird and wonderful selection of recycled materials were used to create the one-off garments, including old vegetable nets, plastic carrier bags, buttons, fabric cut-offs, plumbing supplies, household waste items and of course lots of enthusiasm!
