‘Community Patchwork’ - 22 Sept - 13 Oct 2009
Young visitors to the Whittlesey Festival 2009 had the chance to take part in a project called ‘Community Patchwork’. The idea behind the project was that every participant could decorate a square to represent something about themselves, the people around them and the place that they live in. Over 50 pieces of artwork were created and they tell a wonderful story about the things that mean a lot to the children who took part- families, friends, pets and the environment are all important factors.
‘Community Patchwork’ is on display in Whittlesey Library until 13 October 2009.
