Creative Club - Gifts
Young Artist’s from local Primary School’s have been making gifts to give to loved ones at Christmas as part of Atelier East Creative Club. The Young Artist’s created all sorts of wonderful presents including snow globes, jewellery, toys and even a poker set for Dave!
At the last Creative Club session of 2009 each group of Young Artist’s celebrated their achievements with their families and friends at their own Christmas party & exhibition.
Here is what some of the Young Artist’s had to say about Creative Club …
It gives me a chance to make lots of things and use materials I don’t have at home – Olivia
I decided to make a Lego box to store things in. It looks like a Lego brick. It makes me feel very happy because I’ve done something really well – Jordan
I made a purse for my mum and I tried sewing it but then I glued it and sewed buttons on. Its not how I pictured it but I like it. I think my mum will say thank you – Megan
It helped me get away from my brother and it’s really good – Tegan
I made some jewellery for my mum and a handbag. I have thought of making stuff when I’ve been in bed and I can’t sleep and also what would my mum like for Christmas. I think it’s really fun to make anything you want to because usually at school you have too do one specific thing – Molly
Basically it’s been a really good experience. I’ve seen some of my friends and something really funny happened. I wish I could do it every week until I leave this school but I’ve got to let other people have a go – Mark
I made Dave a poker set because he likes poker. It’s been a good thing to make. I thought I might give my snow globe to Nanny - Jessica
It’s been excellent, brilliant and a once in a life time opportunity – Katie
It was extremely outstanding – Brandon
