Dusk and Dawn - Whittlesey Community Art Project
Visitors to Whittlesey’s Youth Fair in October had the opportunity to work with artists from Atelier East to create two stunning mosaics for public display.
Those who contributed to the community artwork ranged in age from as young as two, to as old as … well, we dare not mention! The artists worked with recycled materials, namely buttons, to create “Dusk and Dawn”. The two pieces of artwork symbolise the night and day skies and the participants were able to select appropriate colours to represent each.
“Dusk and Dawn” will be installed at the Scaldgate Club in Whittlesey and will be on permanent display to visitors.
