VOTE HERE: for your Summer Exhibition ‘Best in Show’

If you don’t get a chance to pop in to the fabulous Wisbech & Fenland Museum to see this wonderful exhibition of work by some brilliant and talented artists (it runs from 6 Aug - 18 Sept) and would like to vote for your ‘Best in Show’ then please do it here!

Scroll down to the bottom, have a look at all the lovely images and then leave a comment- tell us what you think of the exhibition, and most importantly… which is your Best in Show?

Voting closes at 4pm on Saturday 18th September 2010. Votes will be counted by independent persons. Votes from the Museum and online will be combined and the winner will be announced within one month of the closing date.

    I love the expression in their faces, caught perfectly with the detail and delicacy of the pencil.

    Congratulations to all involved. I thought the exhibition was expertly hung in a very limited space and the overall quality was very high indeed

    I was especially impressed by ‘Hopes and Fears’ by Stuart Bush. It reminds me of a poem called ‘London’ by Blake which has always stayed in my mind. But I love ‘Here’ by Edward Bowie too, which is more or less the opposite in what it has to say. I also liked ‘Thomas Clarkson’ by Jan Wickes.

    I vote for The Camel by Benedict Mayer. This Fen stilt walker truly dominates the landscape and is a man on a mission. I’m not normally one for still life but the depth and richness of colour in Apple and Cherry by Ed Cooper bring the fruit to life in an exceptional way. Scrumptious.

    Ed Cooper’s’ work stands out - Apple and Cherry being my choice for ‘Best in Show’. I guess that I am a traditionalist and so Ed’s type of work is bound to please me. I admire his placement, tones, use of color and the masterly way in which he manipulates his chosen medium.
