Competition: Fenland Photographer of the Year 2012
Atelier East have teamed up with Fenland District Council to bring you the Fenland Photographer of the Year 2012 - a photographic competition celebrating Fenland and its photographers!
Do you have some amazing pictures of Fenland that you would like to share?
Every year Fenland District Council produces the ‘Welcome to the Cambridgeshire Fens, Visitor and Accommodation Guide’ that is distributed nationally to encourage visitors to our area. For the 2012 brochure we would like to you to help us to promote Fenland to the rest of the UK! This is a great chance to share your work with thousands of people, and to highlight everything that’s great about Fenland!
We want to get people interested in Fenland and promote it in a positive way, so we’d love to see some of the classic views as well as some less known ones too. Your images should help promote tourism in Fenland and should represent your view of Fenland.
The six categories are: Heritage and Culture - Churches - Waterland - Outdoor Pursuits - Fenland Market Towns - Parks, Gardens and Open Spaces
The deadline for entries is 5pm, 30th September 2011. Shortlisted photographers will be contacted by 20th October 2011.
Shortlisted photographers will be invited to exhibit with Atelier East at Octavia View in Wisbech throughout December 2011 and January 2012. Shortlisted photographers may have their photographs published and credited in the ‘Welcome to the Cambridgeshire Fens, Visitor and Accommodation Guide’ which is distributed nationally.
There will be a special Awards Evening on Friday 2 December with wine and canapes, exhibition reception and certificate and award presentations. There will be an award for one winner in each category, and the overall winner, selected from the six categories, will be awarded the title of Fenland Photographer of the Year 2012.
Please email info@atelier-east.co.uk for an entry form, or pick one up from any Fenland One-Stop Shop!

Stefen
The competition is open to everyone and anyone, there is no restriction on age or amateur/professional status - we just want to bring photographers together to create a great exhibition and publicity for them and for Fenland!
