Different Perspectives Exhibition - Ayscoughfee Hall - Sept 2011

In 2010 South Holland District Council, in partnership with Heritage Lincolnshire, produced the book Wide Horizons: A History Of South Holland’s Landscape and People.

This publication was produced to record the history of the South Holland District and to be used to educate new arrivals who move into the area. Towards the end of 2010 the book was translated into Russian, Polish, Portuguese, Latvian and Lithuanian.

In order to launch the translated books we’ve been working with groups of migrant workers across the South Holland district to produce photographs of the area as they see it, creating shots that represent their experience of living in the area.

Many of these photographs will be on display in the Wide Horizons Exhibition will will tour the South Holland area, starting off at Ayscoughfee Hall in Spalding on the 9th September 2011.
