Category winners were…
Heritage and Culture - Julie Shortland
Waterways - Ian Stacey
Outdoor Pursuits - Roger Newark
Churches - Chris Brudenell
Parks, Gardens and Open Spaces - Tim Daniels
Market Towns - Barry Clark
The awards evening for Fenland Photographer of the Year was a great success, Octavia View was full of people getting the first glimpse at the best pictures from around Fenland and everyone had a great time!
It was great to bring so many creative people together in such a beautiful and unique venue, and to share a special evening of celebration and some fantastic photographic art. We hope to support many more photographers and Fenland District Council again next year.
One of the guests, Janis Griffiths said, “It was a great opportunity to appreciate some beautiful photography of the fens. The winning entry was truly outstanding and it is wonderful that Atelier East is supporting and encouraging young talent like Tim Daniels who I’m sure is on his way to a successful career as a first class photographer.” Thank you Janis!
The exhibition will be running for a full two months and finishes on the 2nd February 2012.
